So in this post, I’ll break it down for you, focusing on the key sections that benefit you as an artist how to make sure your mix stays onlines and helps you trend- especially if you choose to subscribe to Mixcloud.

One of Mixcloud’s major advantages is its licensing agreements with record labels. This means DJs can legally share copyrighted music without the constant fear of takedowns, common on other platforms like SoundCloud, which is a significant advantage for content creators.

Track Limits — Follow these guidelines to ensure your mixes don’t get Muted or taken Offline, and Have More of a Chance to Get into the Charts:

Album Tracks: You can only use up to 3 tracks from any single album, with no more than 2 tracks consecutively.
Artist Tracks: You can only include up to 4 tracks from the same artist in your mix, and no more than 3 of these can be played one after the other.
Compilation Albums: Similar rules apply, up to 4 tracks, with no more than 3 consecutively. Diversify!

*If you go over any of the above mentioned limits Mixcloud will mute your mix or take it offline! Mix Names – Naming Rules, keep it simple

Make sure your mix name is Unique, Mixcloud does not allow duplicate mix names (exception is if you have the same mix name but you put vol. * next to the name)
No Track Titles in Mix Name: Mixcloud doesn’t allow track titles in the names or descriptions of your mixes. Why? It helps maintain order on the platform and respects copyright laws by not revealing all the songs in your mix directly.
